I'm watching HGTV's "Buy Me", a real estate show about the difficulties of selling a house. This episode is about this lady, Chantal, and her two daughters, Jessica & Stephanie. The daughters are in their 20's, moving out, and so mom wants to sell the house. Well, this family is so snobbish and full of themselves....it's hilarious. #1 They are not using a real estate agent. They think they are real estate whizzes who can do what an agent does. #2 They are selling for a price way higher than it's worth but they won't go lower cuz thats what they want. #3 Various dumb people quotes: - daughter: "Can't we get the cleaning lady to paint?" NO, she cleans your house not paints it to sell. - daughter: "Most people paints their houses every year, 2, 3, years..we move!" SMACK HER ALREADY! - finally 1 couple makes an offer of $310,000, the mom counters offer $325,000....mom says "If they don't respond, they accept? Is that not how it works?" NO WOMAN, silence does not = yes....goddamn it and they think they didn't need an agent~!? - a buyer was late for the meeting and the daughter told the buyer that she did not appreciate his lateness and did not need buyers like him. HAHAHAHAA they think they're god's gift to earth. #4 Daughter places an ad in a newspaper....2000 miles away. STUPID. #5 After months, they realize they need an agent. But the daughter refuses the top agent in that area because she don't like the agent's hair-do. YUP. I'm watching the rerun. I'm thinking there's more to laugh at that I missed the first time around. |
